Keep Our Roads Clean

Pine Valley volunteers, made up of our staff and clients, participate in the state of Wisconsin’s Adopt-A-Highway program. Several times each year, we get together and clean up a two-mile stretch of Hwy. 12&16 in between Lyndon Station and Wisconsin Dells. Road clean up volunteers enjoy a pizza party celebration afterwards.

Annual 5k Walk/Run & Ice Cream Social

Each year, to kick off our wellness initiative, our clients and staff are encouraged to participate in the Pine Valley 5k Walk/Run.  Clients participate alongside staff and all participants get a t-shirt, prizes, and a souvenir water bottle.  Everyone meets afterward for a company-wide ice cream social celebration.

Little Pine Valley Playground Project

Pine Valley staff and clients volunteer at our local state parks assisting with park clean-up, stacking firewood, clearing out brush, and getting campsites and trails ready for summer visitors. In 2007, we assisted in assembling a playground for the children who visit Rocky Arbor State Park. The park rangers planned a special party for our clients when the playground was opened and named the playground after Pine Valley. It was an unexpected honor for our clients, who enjoyed the first picnic at the new park. This continues to be a wonderful example for our clients of the rewards of giving back to their community.
